Vegetable Crops Research Bulletin (VCRB) is the continuation of a previously edited journal entitled Biuletyn Warzywniczy (English title - Bulletin of Vegetable Crops Research Work). This journal was founded in 1953 by Prof. dr Emil Chroboczek, the first director of the Research Institute of Vegetable Crops in Skierniewice, Poland. Since 1998 (vol. 48) two issues of the VCRB have been published per year exclusively in English with Polish summaries. Volumeshave been numbered with Arabic numerals instead of Latin starting with vol. 49 (1998).
The journal examines various aspects of vegetable crops research and is devoted to the publication of original papers dealing with the following subjects:
- biotechnology,
- plant breeding,
- crop cultivation in open field and under covers,
- soil management and plant nutrition,
- plant-water relations,
- glasshouse climate,
- soil biology,
- weed science,
- pest and diseases,
- growth regulators,
- post-harvest physiology and quality evaluation,
- storage technology,
- seed science,
- mushroom cultivation,
- economics and management research
| The main aim of VCRB is to publish original research works and paper reviews. We fully subscribe to the belief that progress in vegetable science depends on sharing the information and ideas among investigators, therefore we kindly invite the authors to publish their research works in our journal. Contributions to the publication are abstracted in CAB Abstracts and Scopus. Vegetable Crops Research Bulletin is published and distributed by the Research Institute of Vegetable Crops (RIVC), Skierniewice. On-line access to full articles of volumes 62-65 in PDF format is available on current page by choosing the "Select issue" option. Full articles are available on website www.versita.com starting from vol.66/2007. |
